ULTRATECH®

the Ultratech® sets the standard for Out-The-Front

 

technology.Proprietary design allows the firing spring to

 

be at rest in both the open and closed positions, drastically

 

reducing wear on the internal firing mechanisms.

 

The contoured chassis handle provides a lighter and more

This Ultratech features a drop point blade with an apocalyptic finish and a plain cutting edge. It has a contoured, black anodized 6061-T6 aluminum handle with a bead blast finished pocket clip, glass breaker, and stainless steel hardware.

Microtech equipped this version of the ever popular Ultratech D/A OTF knife with a smooth, contoured handle design that promotes increased comfort during use. This updated model provides the same dimensions, hardware, and durability offered by the "Tri-Grip" variation, but goes easier on the hands and pockets.

For those unfamiliar with the Ultratech, it's a fully automatic knife with a double-action out-the-front mechanism, meaning the thumb slide deploys the blade and retracts it as well. The Ultratech knife from Microtech has set the bar for all OTF knives.

Blade: Equipped with a two-tone black/satin finish, the Drop Point blade has a razor sharp plain edge made from high performance Bohler M390 stainless steel. The grind and fuller have a black ceramic Cerakote coating while the flats were satin finished. The 3.44 inch blade features a double action opening and retracting mechanism. Simply move the thumb slide on the side of the handle up to deploy and down to retract. An internal spring remains at rest in both the open and closed position to reduce wear. The action is smooth and fast.

Handle: Smooth, Black hard coated 6061-T6 aluminum has contoured edges creating not only a comfortable feel in-hand but a smooth transition in and out of your pocket. There are several areas of machine-grooved texturing around the outsides aiding in grip. This lighter more ergonomic grip is easy on the hands and eyes. The handle's construction is completed with Microtech's Tactical Black proprietary hardware, glass breaker end and pocket clip with individual serial number/date of production.
